Safeguarding Policy

BCSS has developed a Safeguarding Policy (last update, December 2022).

The purpose of this policy is to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults or those at risk and provide stakeholders including members, trustees and the public with the principles that guide our approach in doing so. We have a collective responsibility in creating a culture in which people feel safe but also feel able to speak up if they have concerns.
The British Cactus and Succulent Society (BCSS) is committed to safeguarding and to protecting any individual who visits BCSS events and attends meetings, in particular children and young people under the age of sixteen and vulnerable adults. Safeguarding is a priority regardless of age, religious belief, disability, gender, cultural heritage, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or identity.
