The BCSS holds regular online Zoom talks, with a range of expert speakers from Britain and abroad.
Our talks started once a week during lockdown, and reduced to twice a month in 2021 as life started to get back to normal. With a total of 117 in the series having taken place, we continue to attract a great many excellent speakers and a large UK and international audience. However, we have taken the decision to reduce the frequency to one talk a month, which is a step which other societies have also taken. We feel that this may help encourage members and friends of BCSS to attend branch meeting in person. We appreciate how popular these talks and that it may not be possible for many to travel to their local branch. The BCSS Talks Team remain committed to delivering an excellent series of talks in 2024. Indeed, we have a wonderful panel of speakers and talks already booked in.
Our talks will now take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30 p.m. GMT / UCT (BST in summer). We hope that you will be able to join us. BCSS Members and friends are all welcome.
Please contact the talks team if you have any suggestions or ideas for talks or a speaker.
