Front cover: Matucana ‘Festival’.  This is a particularly beautiful hybrid produced by Southfield Nurseries in the UK (www.cactusland.co.uk).  The South American genus Matucana richly deserves more attention and interest from both cactus enthusiasts and growers of house plants alike.  This photo was created using the technique of image stacking with Helicon Focus (www.heliconsoft.com), which combines several photos (20 in this case, each at a different focus) to produce a sharper overall picture.  (Photo: Jonathan Clark)
